Sophomore hitter McKenna Granato put down 17 kills and senior opposite Nikki Taylor added 14 kills with four aces as No. 15 Hawaii turned back Pepperdine 25-14, 25-18, 23-25, 25-12 tonight in a nonconference volleyball match at the Stan Sheriff Center.
Senior hitter Annie Mitchem added 11 kills for the Rainbow Wahine (7-4), who defeated the Waves for the 13th consecutive meeting.
Hawaii freshman setter Norene Iosia added a double-double with 44 assists and 12 digs, along with three of the team’s 11 aces. Junior libero Savanah Kahakai had 15 digs.
Freshman hitter Hannah Frohling led Pepperdine with 12 kills and freshman libero Hana Lishman (Punahou) had 12 digs.
The Wahine hit the road for the first time this season Friday, opening Big West play at UC Santa Barbara.
