WikiLeaks’ Assange promises leaks on U.S. election, Google

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange participated via video link at a news conference marking the 10th anniversary of the secrecy-spilling group in Berlin, Germany, today. Assange said that WikiLeaks plans to start a series of publications this week, but wouldn’t specify the timing and subject.

BERLIN » WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange promised “significant” disclosures on subjects including the U.S. election and Google in the coming weeks as the secret-spilling group marked its 10th anniversary today.

Assange said WikiLeaks plans to start publishing new material starting this week, but wouldn’t specify the timing and subject. Speaking by video link to an anniversary news conference in Berlin, he said the leaks include “significant material” on war, arms, oil, internet giant Google, the U.S. election and mass surveillance.

WikiLeaks hopes “to be publishing every week for the next 10 weeks,” Assange said.

WikiLeaks, which released Democratic National Committee emails days before the party’s national convention earlier this year, wouldn’t say who or what campaign would be affected by the upcoming U.S. election leaks. Assange said speculation that he or WikiLeaks intend to harm Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton is “false.”

Asked whether he feels any personal affinity with Clinton’s Republican rival, Donald Trump, Assange replied: “I feel personal affinity really, I think, with all human beings.”

“I certainly feel sorry for Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump,” he added. “These are two people that are tormented by their ambitions in different ways.”

Sweden is seeking Assange’s extradition in a rape investigation. He hasn’t left the Ecuadorean Embassy in London since 2012. Assange denies the rape allegation and says he fears being extradited to the U.S. to face espionage charges if he leaves.

    WOW!

    • Boots says:

A concern with Hillary no doubt about it. Still think I would take sweet Hillary over a guy who would blow boats out of the water for giving gestures to the US.

    • HawaiiCheeseBall says:

Maybe they should have taken this guy out. he hides at ab embassy to avoid sexual assault charges, then he publishes things that could hurt national security or divulge corporate secrets. He is the mouthpiece for traitors like Bradley Manning. They should take him out as a matter of national security.

      • Keonigohan says:

“sexual assault…hurt national security”, could apply to Crooked hiLIARy and Bubba as well.

Chelsea (Bradley) Manning…she/he failed a suicide attempt…be nice.

“They should take him out as a matter of national security.” When you typed that did you feel the “POWAH” like how hiLIARy did?

Maybe he has the copies of hiLIARy’s BleachBit 33,000 emails..the ones that has hiLIARy’s YOGA & chelsea’s wedding info.

        • HawaiiCheeseBall says:

Hey man you forgot to mention Filegate and Vince Foster, Benghazi and Bill’s love child. Poor thing little man, all those republican led investigations and nothing to show for it.

When WikiLeaks releases whatever information it has on Hillary, the media focus most likely will not be on what the documents show. It instead will be an all-out media war against the messenger for having the audacity to make public hacked, leaked or stolen emails and other documents critical of or damaging to Hillary.

Or Dishonest Donald’s missing tax returns for the past 25 years. Along with his emails praising the Clintons along with his wedding invitation to them. And the millions he has paid to overseas cronies and politicians to build his casinos. And maybe a few dozen of his love tweets to his man crush Putin. It can cut both ways equally as deep, but Dishonest Donald …. Well enough said.

Oh, I wouldn’t be so sure. If indeed there is something to be “leaked”, and that remains questionable at best, chances are immensely better that it has to do with Hillary rather than Trump. The entire demo machine, the mainstream media, intelligentsia, and a wide swath of politico in general, have focused intently on unearthing any miscues surrounding Trump, his businesses, his family, his friends, his feet, and whatever other idiosyncracies deemed usable. I doubt there’s much left for discovery, but stay tuned.

Nothing more then a Kim Jung-on without a country. Uses blackmail techniques against countries and people. Not a hero. Like Snowden a backstabber.

news flash: clinton speaks the truth.

“So you’ve got this crazy system where all of a sudden 25 million more people have health care and then the people who are out there busting it, sometimes 60 hours a week, wind up with their premiums doubled and their coverage cut in half. It’s the craziest thing in the world,”

    http://www.cnn.com/2016/10/04/politics/bill-clinton-obamacare-craziest-thing/index.html

friends who wait tables at highly regarded restaurants here in honolulu had their hours cut and health coverage canceled during the recent hep a spread and are still required to get the hep a clearance and shots. thank you mr president.

Geesh first it was…”Bill Clinton helped sink his wife’s chances for an endorsement from Ted Kennedy by belittling Barack Obama as nothing but a race-based candidate.

“A few years ago, this guy would have been getting us coffee,” the former president told the liberal lion (Ted Kennedy)from Massachusetts, according to the gossipy new campaign book, “Game Change.”

Now Bubba turning the screws on O…what happened to their honky-dory relationship?

      • st1d says:

        obama is now irrelevant.

world leaders no longer consult with him nor worry about any consequences of taking military actions against neighboring countries. congress ignores him and overrode his latest veto. he will issue few if any new executive orders before the elections to avoid alienating voters.

bill clinton hopes to use the negative statements on obama’s legacy unhealthy leftislation to distance the female felon from obama’s administration. fat chance. the congenital liar was a major player in obama’s political failures.

  7. HawaiiCheeseBall says:

Looks like everyone got played, the news conference is over and there was no revaluation, only Assange railing against the media and promoting their books.

  8. Dai says:

I guess this guys has appointed himself as the watch dog for the US government. Interesting how he is able to get all this information about our government and publish all the “secrets”.
Could he do this to the Russian, North Korean, Chinese government too?….Please? Or maybe they don’t do any bad things like the USA?

  9. udonnome says:

Julian Assange is an “unsung hero” by those who understand his undertaking with a great risk to his life and at an enormous personal sacrifice for his contributions to the world.

The coming of the next 10 weeks will shake and affect many to their inner core b/c the facts of the evidence will hurt.

WikiLeaks has a 100% reputation on getting it right. Kudos!

Trump supporters hoping for a disclosure that will turn this election will end up very disappointed. The lady has been too cleaver and too well connected to leave a trail of evidence of her crimes. Yes, I believe she’s guilty but I also believe she’ll never be convicted. If you haven’t figured it out already, our country has two sets of laws, one for the average Joe like us and another for those well connected. Things that would put us in prison is barely an inconvenience to the powerful.
