The U.S. Coast Guard is asking for help to find the owner of a kayak found off Kauai’s Waimea Beach on Sunday.

The 13-foot, blue kayak with a yellow paddle was found approximately 200 yards offshore at 8:35 a.m., according to the Coast Guard.

There are currently no reported signs of distress or reports of missing persons in the area, officials said.

Kauai police searched the shoreline of the area and an aircrew from the Coast Guard Air Station Barbers Point searched by air but did not find anything, officials said.
