  • KAUAI POLICE DEPARTMENT Koma Texeira (left) and Clayton Kona (right) are being held on a murder charge in connection with the death of a Kekaha man.

Prosecutors charged two men in the shooting death of a man whose body was found near the Port Allen Airport on Kauai last week.

Kauai police arrested Koma Texeira, 20 and Clayton Kona, 38 on suspicion of murder after an investigation.

Officers arrested Kona Thursday, and Texeira on Friday.

The two Waimea men are expected to appear in court later this week, the Kauai Police Department said today.

Police said an autopsy Wednesday confirmed Jon Togioka, 34, of Kekaha, sustained multiple gunshot wounds.

A man walking along the shoreline near the airport found Togioka’s body on Nov. 1.

Both suspects are being held on $500,000 bail.
