According to multiple reports online, Oregon defensive end Canton Kaumatule has accepted a medical hardship, ending his playing career with the Ducks.
Kaumatule, a 6-foot-7, 295-pound sophomore, is no longer listed on Oregon’s official roster.
According to the report, Kaumatule, a 2015 Punahou alumnus, was seen leaving practice on Tuesday in street clothes. Kaumatule played in five games this season and made three tackles.
Accepting a medical hardship does not prohibit a player from playing at another school, although he would need to be cleared medically.
