Pedestrian seriously injured in Moiliili accident

A 77-year-old man was transported to a trauma center in serious condition after he was struck by a vehicle in Moiliili early today.

Emergency Medical Services reported paramedics responded to the accident at the intersection of Date and Coolidge streets at about 6:20 a.m.

Paramedics treated the pedestrian, who suffered injuries to the left side of his head. Honolulu Fire Spokesman Capt. David Jenkins said the 77-year-old man was alert when first responders arrived.

There is no information on the driver at this time.

    Been driving on the Honolulu roadways this morning and many driver’s are in the holiday stress/rush and driving very carelessly. PLEASE for everyone sake slow down and drive with ALOHA.
