The Hawaii soccer team received regional recognition on Thursday, as forward Addie Steiner became the program’s first NSCAA West first-team selection. Midfielder Raisa Strom-Okimoto was named to the region’s third team.
Steiner, a Northwestern transfer from Prairie Village, Kan., led UH (9-6-2, 2-5-1 Big West) with eight goals. Strom-Okimoto was UH’s points leader with six goals and eight assists. They were both Big West first-teamers.
The NSCAA West is comprised of teams from the Big West, West Coast and Western Athletic conferences. UH’s last player on a regional team was Storm Kenui (West third team) in 2014.
