A new northwest swell will generate warning-level surf up to 25 feet high, according to the National Weather Service.

A new northwest swell will generate warning-level surf up to 25 feet high, according to the National Weather Service.

The warning covers the north and west facing shores of Kauai and the north shores of Oahu, Molokai and Maui until 6 a.m. Saturday.

Surf is forecast to be 20- to 25-feet high, officials said.

The current northeast swell will continue to slowly decrease.

A high surf advisory is currently in effect for the east-facing shores until 6 a.m. Friday.

Surf is expected to be 6- to 10-feet high along east shores.
