Honolulu police and CrimeStoppers are seeking the public’s help in locating a man wanted for robbing two banks Monday.
The man entered the Bank of Hawaii branch in Pawaa, 1451 S. King St., at about 12:25 p.m., handed a teller a note and demanded money, police said. He did the same thing at the Liliha branch of American Savings Bank, 1425 Liliha St., about 15 minutes later, police said.
He fled in a taxi from the American Savings Bank with an undisclosed amount of money.
Police described the man as 40 to 50 years old, 5 feet 4 inches to 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing 140 to 150 pounds. He had salt-and-pepper hair and was wearing a green aloha shirt, shorts and slippers.

Man found floating in waters off Waikiki
A 51-year-old man was in critical condition after being found facedown in the ocean off Waikiki.
He was discovered at about 3:15 p.m. Monday, according to Honolulu Emergency Medical Services.
Ocean Safety officers brought the man ashore where they performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
Emergency medical personnel took over treatment with advanced life support and took him to a hospital.
