WASHINGTON >> The State Department is confirming that the 35 Russian diplomats President Barack Obama ordered out of the country have departed the United States.
Obama expelled the diplomats, saying they were really spies, and ordered new sanctions on Russian spy agencies for alleged Russian hacking of political sites during the presidential election. Obama also shuttered two Russian compounds in Maryland and New York.
The State Department said Sunday that the 35 Russian diplomats, along with their family members, have left the United States.

After reading many articles about this I am thankful that McCain was never successful in higher office – the guy is truly dangerous calling Russian hacks of unsecured non-government servers “an act of war” is reckless.

This is all optic showmanship,and of course temporary. 19 days to be more accurate. Just look at it, as a Vacation! I am puzzled to see why has it taken so long to figure this out ? And why only after the elections when Hillary Lost?

Of course it is all for show. I suspect we have a lot more military bases outside of the US than Russia has outside of Russia. Probably have 2 to 3 times as many as Russia. Don’t know the exact number though. I just remember as a kid, Russia was surrounded by American bases. I don’t remember Russia having so many outside of perhaps Cuba.

I thought Russia had something like ten while the US might have 30-50. Does show that the US is slave to its military industrial complex. A shame this country ignored Eisenhower. This is one area I do respect the Donald for. I am a little nervous about him poking China but I don’t expect that he will be starting a trade war. Wouldn’t be good for his business.

The Russian government will rotate in another batch of diplomats to replace the ones who were expelled …..

The US just loves making Russia look like the culprits in all of this…all over an election that didn’t go the Democrats way. First hand we witnessed the biases of ALL media towards Trump, the fake polls leading all the way up to election day and now having to hear which I believe to be false claims about hacking. With all the millions and billions spent yearly for people in the NSA, CIA, FBI, Home Land Security and my god the list just goes on an on and on. Mr. Trump needs to start with an accounting of all these over paid agencies/people who can’t even protect an election from cyber attacks. I thought Wiki Leaks started all of this, not Russia.
No problem here. They will be replaced by others within the next few months. Obama again is unable to impose meaningful sanctions against anyone.
The Russians are laughing at him and will miss him in a way as they had him intimidated and fearful of them.

The sad thing is that Obama is making a mockery of America by expelling the Russian Diplomats at this time. He had ample time and reason to do it in the past, but due to devious incompetence, he waited and waited, until he thought here was something he could pin on the President Elect. Now we learn that Assange at Wikileaks never got the emails from the Russians, and he has repeated this numerous times. That’s why so many of us can’t wait until Obama leaves the White House, as the worst president in American history.

The December 29 2016 DHS report about hacking/alleged Russian involvement had a disclaimer: DHS “does not provide any warranties of any kind regarding any information contained within.” That means it’s not guaranteed that it even was the Russians who hacked John Podesta & the DNC. What does Obama do? Sends Russian diplomats packing.
In June 2015, the Chinese hacked OPM obtaining personal information for millions of Americans who work for the DOD (Including mine). What did Obama do to the Chinese government? Nothing.
So I’d like to know why Obama did nothing to the Chinese but expelled the Russians. It’s really lame that the closer he gets to the end of his tenure he decides to throw tantrums. Only now he tries to grow a pair? It’s no wonder the Russians just basically flipped him off.
These next three weeks cannot pass soon enough.
Baffling – why didn’t Obama do more, and yet, at the same time, refusing to do anything with Russia, telling the public we should move on??
