Honolulu lifeguards were assisting today after a boat overturned off Waikiki.
The Coast Guard said they received a call about the overturned boat near the surf spot Publics at about 3:20 p.m. A good Samaritan reported having taken on some passengers of the overturned boat, reportedly a Boston Whaler, and one person was still with the overturned vessel. No injuries were immediately reported, and lifeguards were responding to assist, the Coast Guard said.
Lifeguards reported the boat is about 15 feet long with an outboard motor, according to dispatch communications.
