Wednesday: Labor Department releases Consumer Price Index for December. Federal Reserve releases industrial production for December. National Association of Home Builders releases housing market index for January. Federal Reserve releases Beige Book. Treasury releases international money flows data for November. The Goldman Sachs Group Inc., Citigroup Inc. and Netflix Inc. report quarterly financial results.

Thursday: Commerce Department releases housing starts for December. Labor Department releases weekly jobless claims. Freddie Mac, the mortgage company, releases weekly mortgage rates. Union Pacific Corp. and American Express Co. report quarterly financial results.
