Hawaiian Electric Co. said Wednesday that its companies and Nissan North America are offering electric utility customers a $10,000 rebate off the suggested retail price of a Nissan Leaf.
HECO, Maui Electric Co. and Hawaii Electric Light Co. customers who buy a 2016 or 2017 Leaf can receive the rebate when they purchase the electric vehicle, if they show their electric bill and a flier. The flier is available at hawaiianelectric.com/nissanleaf.
The offer expires March 31.
HECO said utility customers could save up to $17,500 on a Nissan Leaf when combining HECO’s offered rebate and $7,500 in federal tax incentives.
The 107-mile range 2017 LEAF has a list price starting at $30,680.
