Man, teen arrested in robbery of boys
Police arrested two people after they allegedly robbed two teens in Aiea.
The robbery occurred at a commercial area on Moanalua Road at approximately 2:30 p.m. on Jan. 23. Police said a 21-year-old Kalihi man and 15-year-old girl used physical force and robbed the victims — both 14-year-old boys — of their property.
The suspects fled and the victims reported the robbery to police.
The male suspect turned himself in at the Kalihi Police Substation on Tuesday afternoon where police arrested him on suspicion of second-degree robbery. Police said the 15-year-old girl was located a short time later and arrested.
Both were released pending further investigation.
