The Hawaii Pacific men’s basketball team stayed at eighth in the latest NABC Division II poll on Tuesday.
HPU (25-2, 17-2 PacWest) is coming off wins over Academy of Art and Point Loma this week. HPU is one of two ranked teams in the PacWest, as California Baptist is fifth for the second straight week.
In the D2SIDA National Poll, HPU remained at ninth. Cal Baptist was fourth.
HPU women finish 16th at Cal Baptist
The Hawaii Pacific women’s golf team opened its season with a 16th-place finish at the California Baptist Invitational on Tuesday at the Eagle Glen Golf Club in Corona, Calif.
As a team, the Sharks shot 688, with a first-round score of 352, and a final-round score of 336. HPU’s top individual finisher was Kaia Takaki, who shot a combined 166.
Host California Baptist finished first with a combined 603, 15 shots ahead of second-place Cal State San Marcos.
Marvi Monsalve of Cal Baptist was the top individual finisher in the tournament, shooting a 71-74—145, 1 over par.
