A 22-year-old man was seriously injured Sunday when he fell about 15 feet onto a rocky ledge at Spitting Cave in East Oahu.
The man was climbing up the wall after spearfishing when he fell onto the ledge at about 12:30 p.m., said Shayne Enright, Honolulu Emergency Services Department spokeswoman.
Firefighters picked up the man by helicopter and took him to a nearby park where paramedics were waiting. Paramedics stabilized the man, who had multiple injuries, and took him in serious condition to a hospital.
Police looking for men who robbed bank
Honolulu police are seeking the public’s help in finding a criminal duo that robbed the American Savings Bank in Wal-Mart on Keeaumoku Street on Sunday.
Two men entered the bank at about 10:25 a.m., handed the teller a demand note and ran away with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said. Police noted the suspects, both in their 40s, never mentioned or showed a weapon. The taller of the pair, a white-haired, blue-eyed man, wore a tan T-shirt, khaki shorts and a baseball cap. He was 6 feet tall and 220 pounds.
His brown-haired and brown-eyed accomplice wore a black T-shirt and black long pants. He was 5-foot-8 and 200 pounds.

Woman charged with robbery at Makapuu
A 38-year-old woman was charged Sunday with robbery after police said she took property from a 35-year-old man at Makapuu.
Wynette McMillan, of no local address, was charged with first-degree robbery and had a bail of $25,000.
Police said McMillan stole the man’s property while armed with a weapon at about 11 a.m. Friday. She was arrested about an hour later near Sea Life Park.
