Sophomore opposite Stijn van Tilburg put down 11 kills and No. 4 Hawaii set a school record for consecutive sets won when sweeping No. 8 Stanford 25-13, 25-19, 25-20 in a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation volleyball match tonight at the Stan Sheriff Center.
Senior hitter Kupono Fey added 11 kills as the Rainbow Warriors clinched a berth in the MPSF playoffs.
A season-high crowd of 4,560 saw the Rainbow Warriors (20-2, 10-2) run their mark to 32 straight sets, eclipsing the record of 29 set by the 1996 squad.
