UFC Hall of Famer B.J. Penn, who was badly beaten in a second-round TKO loss to Yair Rodriguez in January, will fight Dennis Siver in a 145-pound bout on June 25 in Oklahoma City, the UFC announced Wednesday.
Penn (16-11-2, 12-10-2 UFC) has won only one fight since Dec. 12, 2009, and has been stopped in his last two fights.
In his last four fights overall, Penn has absorbed 439 significant strikes while landing 129 according to UFC statistics.
Siver (22-11, 11-8) has lost three of his last four fights, including a second-round TKO to Conor McGregor in January 2015.
The fight will be broadcast on Fox Sports 1.
Mamiya wins third straight WSL event
Sixteen-year-old North Shore native Barron Mamiya won his third consecutive World Surf League event with a victory in the WSL Pipe Pro Junior at Haleiwa.
His final score of 16.25 topped that of Maui’s Eli Hanneman, who finished in second with a 14.00. Finn McGill, another North Shore native, took home third with a final score of 11.65.
