Hawaii County police have identified a woman who died Tuesday from injuries sustained in a three-vehicle crash last week in Hilo as Thelma J. McLamore, 88, of San Antonio.

McLamore was the back-seat passenger of a 2017 Ford sedan that was rear-ended March 15 by a 2003 Toyota pickup truck.

Police arrested and charged the pickup truck driver — a 30-year-old Pahoa man — with drunken driving and and driving with a revoked license and no insurance. Police have also opened a negligent-homicide investigation.
