Police arrested a 48-year-old man after he allegedly assaulted a 42-year-old woman during a family argument in Kunia.
At about 5 p.m. Friday, police said the suspect assaulted the victim with a dangerous instrument. She was treated at a nearby hospital where her bodily injury was deemed substantial.
The suspect fled but patrol officers located him shortly afterward. Police arrested the 48-year-old man on suspicion of second-degree assault.
