Firefighters extinguish brush fire in Mililani Mauka

Firefighters contained a brush fire in Mililani Mauka Monday night.

At approximately 8 p.m., eight units and 24 firefighters responded to the fire near 95-214 Kapanoe Place. When they arrived, firefighters observed the fire within a nearby gulch, said Honolulu Fire Spokesman Capt. David Jenkins.

Firefighters contained the fire by 10:35 p.m. and remained at the site to extinguish hot spots.

No injuries or damage to properties were reported.
