Prosecutors charged a 63-year-old Kaneohe man on Thursday for allegedly threatening to ignite gasoline inside a Kaneohe residence while two women, ages 36 and 60, were inside the home.
The incident occurred at about 12:50 p.m. Wednesday.
Police arrested Elmer Drew at a home on Auna Street on suspicion of first-degree terroristic threatening and a $500 warrant.
He was charged with first-degree arson. His bail was set at $100,000.
Arrest made in Kinau Street stabbing
Police arrested a 23-year-old man after he allegedly stabbed another man in Honolulu.
At about 12:55 a.m. Thursday, police said, the suspect and the victim, a 36-year-old man, were involved in an argument at a Kinau Street residence.
They said the argument escalated and that the suspect stabbed the victim with a dangerous instrument.
Emergency Medical Services said the victim suffered a stab wound to his upper back. He walked to Foodland on South Beretania Street where paramedics arrived and took him to The Queen’s Medical Center in serious condition.
The 23-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted second-degree murder.
Kauai bank robbery suspect sought
Kauai police are looking for a man who allegedly robbed a bank in Lihue on Thursday morning.
The robbery occurred at about 10 a.m. at First Hawaiian Bank, 4423 Rice St., police said. They said the suspect entered the bank and passed a note to a teller that stated he had a gun and demanded money. He then fled on foot.
The suspect is described as possibly in his 50s and 5 feet 11 inches tall. Police said he was wearing a long-sleeved shirt and a light-colored cap at the time of the robbery.

Burglary suspect, 70, arrested
Police arrested a 70-year-old man after he allegedly broke into an office in Honolulu and damaged property within the building.
The incident occurred at a building on Queen Street at about 11:30 p.m. Wednesday. Police said security personnel located the suspect within the building.
The 70-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of second-degree burglary.
