Police arrested a Hanamaulu man on suspicion of second-degree attempted murder.

A 37-year-old Hanamaulu man was in custody Saturday after he stabbed his wife in the belly, Kauai police said.
The man attacked the 37-year-old woman with a knife at their home at about 6:25 p.m. Friday, police said.
The woman was taken to Wilcox Medical Center and was in stable condition.
The woman’s mother also sustained injuries in the incident. She was treated at Wilcox and released.
Police arrested the man on suspicion of second-degree attempted murder. He was being held in lieu of $500,000 bail.
3 arrested in Waianae car theft cases
Two men and a woman were arrested for alleged crimes related to vehicular theft in Waianae.
They were arrested close to 10:50 p.m. Friday on Jade Street, according to a preliminary report by Honolulu police.
The woman and one man were being investigated in connection to unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle, and the second man in connection to car theft.
