Ten Hawaii students have been named National Merit Scholarship Program $2,500 recipients, chosen from 2017 finalists.
For this year’s program, 15,000 students were named finalists. The $2,500 recipients are among the second announcement of winners in the 2017 National Merit Scholarship Program, according to a news release. Corporate-sponsored Merit Scholarship awards were announced April 19. On June 7 and July 17, some 4,000 college-sponsored Merit Scholarship winners will be announced.
