Woman dies after being pulled from waters off Kuhio Beach
A 63-year-old woman has died after she was found unresponsive in the water off of Kuhio Beach in Waikiki.
Her name has yet to be released by the Honolulu Medical Examiner’s Office.
At about 6:07 p.m. Tuesday, Emergency Medical Services said bystanders found the woman unresponsive in the water. They brought her to shore and initiated cardiopulmonary resuscitation until firefighters and paramedics arrived.
EMS administered life-support measures and transported her to a hospital in critical condition where she died.
