Utility pole repair work snarls traffic in Nanakuli

Hawaiian Electric Co. crews are performing emergency utility work on Farrington Highway in Nanakuli after a car struck a utility pole at about 3 p.m. today.

Just before 5:40 p.m., all westbound lanes were reopened near Kahe Power Plant. Crews secured the damaged pole and will continue repairs later this evening.
