The Hokuleʻa was brought into dry dock for general maintenance at the Marine Educational Center today.
The Hawaiian voyaging canoe will spend one month in dry dock to prepare for a 30 port Hawaiian isle tour.
The Hawaiian isle tour will begin in August and continue throughout the school year.
Crew members and volunteers pull the line as dollies were secured under the hulls of the voyaging canoe. Later, a semi truck arrived to haul the wa’a out of the water.
