Police were looking for four males who robbed a small store Saturday in Makaha.
Police said two of the robbers brandished handguns and took money from the business at about 1:20 p.m.
The robbers fled before police arrived. No one was hurt.
Police opened a first-degree robbery investigation.
Woman arrested in alleged moped theft
An 18-year-old woman was charged Saturday with operating a stolen moped in the Ala Moana area, police said.
A patrol officer stopped the woman for a traffic violation at about 11:40 p.m. Friday and found that the moped she was riding had been reported stolen, police said.
Police arrested the woman near Piikoi Street and Kapiolani Boulevard. She was charged Saturday with unauthorized control of a propelled vehicle, and her bail was set at $11,000.
Firefighters tame Waipahu brush fire
Firefighters battled a 2-acre brush fire Sunday near Patsy T. Mink Central Oahu Regional Park in Waipio.
About 20 firefighters responded to a fire near the tennis courts at the park on Kamehameha Highway at about 1:15 p.m., said Honolulu fire Capt. Kevin Mokulehua.
The fire was brought under control at about 1:50 p.m. Firefighters were still at the scene at about 3:45 p.m., extinguishing hot spots.
It was not clear whether the fire was on park property. The cause was unknown.
