1. Goverre’s stemless, portable wine glasses are a spill-proof way to enjoy some grape while outdoors this summer. A patterned silicone sleeve protects each glass, which comes with a twist lid. Drink with the lid on, like a sippy cup, or without. (Goverre founders Shannon Zappala and Regan Kelaher of California won an investment deal on ABC’s “Shark Tank.”)
The dishwasher-safe glasses hold up to 17 ounces, and the sleeves come in an array of fun colors, including hot pink, green, purple, orange and yellow. Find them for $25 each at the Guava Shop in Haleiwa and Kailua, and at goverre.com.

2. When I vacationed in Japan last year, I couldn’t get enough Lotte Coolish, pouches of ice cream and shave ice available at convenience stores and in vending machines. The concept was so simple: ice cream tucked into a foil pouch with a built-in straw. Genius. It provides all the cool, sweet joy of ice cream without the mess.
For months after returning home, I continued to peer longingly into the ice cream freezer at 7-Eleven stores, known for carrying Japanese treats. Then one day I spied Lotte Snow Ice milk shakes, available in vanilla and Arabica coffee flavors.
It’s sweeter than my beloved Coolish but equally refreshing. A 5.41-ounce pouch sells for $2.49.

3. As a teenager, my friends and I would try to scuff up our sneakers to get rid of that new-shoe look. But nowadays I like to keep my gym shoes clean.
SneakerRescue wipes are designed to scrub away dirt, scuff marks and grass stains from athletic shoes. My son uses them on his kicks, too.
Toss a pack into your gym bag to tackle stains right away. The wipes are all-natural, so they won’t harm fabric, leather, mesh or suede. There are also versions for boots, shoes and sandals.
It’s $7.49 for a pack of 15 wipes at bootrescue.com.

4. Using an interfolding paper process, the palm-size Plus Paper Clinch binds up to five sheets of paper without any staples. No more worries about removing staples before shredding or recycling paper. (The binding is weaker than if using regular metal staples, so I recommend binding papers twice for a secure hold.)
Available for $9.49 on amazon.com. Plus also makes a larger model that can bind up to 10 pages.

5. An instant way to freshen up your home or please a hostess, Cultivate Hawai‘i’s tea towels depict island landscapes in bold tropical colors and graphic shapes. Designed locally by Merlin Edmonds, a conservationist at the Limahuli Garden and Preserve on Kauai, the versatile cloths can brighten kitchen or bath or decorate a wall. They feel as lovely as they look in soft, undyed cotton muslin printed with water-based inks.
But how to choose between the sea cliffs of Haena at sunset, waterfalls and green kalo fields of Hanalei, or orange lava spouting from Kilauea Crater? No can. I can have all three for $18 a towel.
“They’re a best-seller — so light and easy to pack,” said Missy Owens, who keeps them in stock at Owens and Co., 1152 Nuuanu Ave. Call 531-4300.
