Caleb Okada batted 2-for-3 with a home run and five RBIs as the Honolulu Saints beat Los Altos, Calif., 14-1 in four innings in a quarterfinal game of the 12u-60-foot Pacific Southwest Regional on Thursday in Long Beach, Calif.
Kory Chu pitched two scoreless innings for the Saints, while Matthew Zarriello homered and Hunter Nishina went 2-for-2 with a double and two runs scored.
Honolulu will play the winner of Galt, Calif./Rhonert Park, Calif., in today’s semifinals.
>> Mililani KC defeated Visalia, Calif., 12-2 in five innings to finish with a perfect pool-play record at the 12u-70 Pacific Southwest Regional in Beaver, Utah.
Evan Elarionoff allowed two runs over 4 2/3 innings for Mililani KC, which improved to 4-0. Zarin Poopaa hit two home runs and Elarionoff, Jase Ellamar and Chyler Desilva each homered once.
Poopaa has five home runs at the regional.
Mililani KC will play a semifinal game on Saturday.
