Witness foils Kalihi burglary

Police arrested a 31-year-old woman after she allegedly burglarized a Kalihi residence.

At about 6:20 p.m. Wednesday, police said a witness observed the suspect enter the home and called 911. Police said the suspect and the residents, a 52-year-old woman and 49-year-old man, are not known to one another.

Police arrived and apprehended the 31-year-old woman as she was exiting the home with undisclosed property belonging to one of the residents.

The suspect was arrested on suspicion of second-degree burglary.
