Police closed the H-3 Freeway in the Kaneohe-bound direction this evening until an oil spill could be cleaned up from the roadway.

Police said at least two vehicles were involved in a crash that left oil on the roadway at about 5:45 p.m. The oil combined with rain in the area made the road extremely slippery, and vehicles were sliding on the road, police said.

Police closed all the Kaneohe-bound lanes at the Harano Tunnel at about 6 p.m. No major injuries were reported.

The Kaneohe-bound lanes were still closed at about 7:40 p.m.
