The commercial parking lot at Hanauma Bay will be closed for a week for a resurfacing project.

The Hanauma Bay commercial parking lot will be closed for a week beginning Tuesday for a resurfacing project, according to the city Department of Parks and Recreation.

All commercial vehicles, including tour buses, taxis and TheBus will not be allowed to enter Hanauma Bay until the lot reopens on Sept. 13, city officials said today. The resurfacing project includes pot hole and crack repair, plus seal coating and re-striping.

The public parking lot will remain open.

Starting Wenesday , Hanauma Bay also switches to its winter schedule, which is from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., closing an hour earlier than the summer schedule. The winter schedule lasts until Memorial Day Weekend in May.
