Led by middle Emily Maglio’s team-high 11 kills, the Rainbow Wahine swept South Dakota 25-19, 25-15, 25-13 tonight at the Stan Sheriff Center to improve to 2-3 overall and 2-0 in the Hawaiian Airlines Classic.

Coming off two sweeps, Hawaii plays No. 22 Utah in Sunday’s finale at 4 p.m. The Utes, led by Kahuku alumna Adora Anae’s match-high 13 kills and ‘Iolani grad Bailey Choy’s 37 assists, swept Western Carolina in tonight’s first match, 25-20, 25-18, 25-22.

The Catamounts will play the Coyotes in Saturday’s 1 p.m. match. Neither team has won a set this week.

Maglio was also in on a match-high four blocks. Hayley Dotseth led South Dakota with 11 kills.
