Man charged with real felony in fake gun incident

An Oahu grand jury has charged a 23-year-old man for allegedly threatening three people with a simulated firearm in Honolulu.

Jarrin K. Young was charged with three counts of first-degree terroristic threatening. His bail is set at $100,000.

The threats against a female and two males occurred on July 4. It’s unclear exactly what part of Honolulu the crime occurred.

A bench warrant was issued on July 25 after the grand jury indicted him with terroristic threatening.

Police located and arrested him Monday, the same day trial was scheduled to be held at Circuit Court for Young involving a separate robbery case that occurred in 2016.

He has a criminal record of criminal property damage.
