Waikiki Ho‘olaule‘a will snarl Kalakaua traffic
Motorists are advised to use alternative routes during the Aloha Festivals Waikiki Ho‘olaule‘a, an annual block party, which will close one lane of Kalakaua Avenue starting at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
The first makai lane will close at 1 p.m., followed by the second lane closure at 2 p.m., according to festival officials. At 4 p.m., there will be a full closure of Kalakaua Avenue from Seaside Avenue to Kealohilani Avenue.
The Waikiki Ho‘olaule‘a takes place from 7 to 10 p.m. Roads will reopen at the discretion of the Honolulu Police Department. Visit AlohaFestivals.com.
