Motorists should expect travel delays near Ala Moana heading into Waikiki due to the 71st annual Aloha Festivals Floral Parade on Saturday morning.

Beginning at 8:30 a.m., a portion of Ala Moana Boulevard and Kalakaua Avenue will be closed for the parade, which commences at 9 a.m.

The parade starts at Ala Moana Beach Park by Kamakee Street and travels along Kalakaua Avenue to Kapiolani Park, offering a colorful procession of female and male pa‘u horseback riders representing each of the major Hawaiian islands, floats covered with flowers, hula halau, color guards and marching bands.

Roads will reopen at the discretion of the Honolulu Police Department.
