The Hawaii soccer team came up empty on its first Big West road trip of the season after falling 2-0 to Long Beach State today in Long Beach, Calif.

UH (5-6, 0-2 BWC) outshot the 49ers early, but gave up a goal to Tori Bolden in the 33rd minute and one to Kaitlin Fregulia in the 65th. The preseason favorite 49ers (7-3-1, 1-0) won the shots battle 17-9 in the end.

The Wahine were also blanked in a 1-0 loss at UC Davis on Thursday. They are now 2-19-2 on the road in six seasons of Big West road games.

UH returns home for a game against UC Irvine at Waipio Peninsula Soccer Stadium next Sunday.
