    The first-floor entry to the Saks Fifth Avenue store in the International Market Place in Waikiki. Police arrested a 25-year-old man after he allegedly shoplifted merchandise from the luxury retail store.

Police arrested a 25-year-old man after he allegedly shoplifted merchandise from a luxury retail store at the International Market Place in Waikiki.

At about 2:15 p.m. Thursday, police said the suspect concealed merchandise from Saks Fifth Avenue. Store security stopped him as he was exiting the establishment.

Police said he used force in an attempt to flee with the stolen merchandise.

He was detained until police arrived. The suspect was arrested on suspicion of second-degree robbery.
