Police are looking for a male who allegedly “brandished a dangerous instrument” at a couple who were sitting in a parked vehicle in the Liliha area just after midnight Tuesday before taking their belongings.
No age or description was given for the suspect, who robbed a 44-year-old man and 42-year-old woman at 12:08 a.m. and then fled. Police are investigating the case as a robbery in the first degree.
Man sought in burglaries at ex’s home
CrimeStoppers and the Honolulu Police Department are seeking the public’s help finding Nhan Thanh Le, who is wanted on a $100,000 warrant for two counts of first-degree burglary.
Le, 40, is described as 5 feet 4 inches tall and 120 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes and of Vietnamese descent.
At about 12:30 a.m. Sept. 30, the victim received a video message from Le that showed him in her residence, police said. Le is the victim’s ex-boyfriend, police said.
At about 6 p.m. Oct. 2, the victim’s family members heard noises coming from within her bedroom and found Le hiding in the closet, police said. Police were called, but Le fled prior to their arrival, police said.
