2 men caught on surveillance allegedly stealing U.S., Hawaiian flags from Hilo hotel

A man in a gray shirt allegedly stole the U.S. flag and a man in a black T-shirt and black hat allegedly took the Hawaiian flag from a Hilo hotel.

Hawaii island police are asking for the public’s help in tracking down two men who were caught on surveillance allegedly stealing a U.S. and Hawaiian flag from the Hilo Hawaiian Hotel in Hilo.

A man in a gray shirt allegedly stole the U.S. flag and a man in a black T-shirt and black hat allegedly took the Hawaiian flag. Police provided no time or date when the flags were removed.

Anyone with information is asked to call the police department’s non-emergency number at 935-3311 or Lt. Robert Almeida at 961-2213.
