Driver flees from 3-car crash on H-1
A driver involved in a three-car crash ran from the scene of the accident tonight on the H-1 freeway.
The accident was first reported to police dispatch at 6:58 p.m., and was located on the eastbound lanes of the H-1 freeway just after the Ward Avenue overpass, a dispatch supervisor said.
Callers reported that a driver fled from the scene on foot, a dispatch supervisor said.
No one was critically or fatally injured in the crash.
The vehicles were cleared by 8:15 p.m. and the lanes reopened.
Police said it was unknown why the driver fled, but the car was not stolen.
