Teens allegedly use deadly instrument to rob man at Piikoi business
Two teenage boys allegedly armed with “dangerous instruments” entered a Piikoi area business Wednesday afternoon and took property from an 84-year-old man, police said.
The boys — ages 16 and 17 — were arrested at 1:42 p.m. for investigation of first-degree robbery, second-degree robbery and other charges including being in possession of a deadly weapon, police said.
The robbery allegedly occurred between 12:10 p.m. and 12:20 p.m.
One of the boys was in custody and the other was transferred to a detention home, police said.
