University of Hawaii free safety Trayvon Henderson has been invited to the 2018 Senior Bowl in Mobile, Ala.

The National Football League administers the all-star game, which will be played on Jan. 27 at Ladd-Peebles Stadium. The league selects two NFL coaching staffs to lead the North and South teams. The NFL Network will telecast the game.

Henderson, a 6-foot, 200-pound senior from Sacramento, is the Rainbow Warriors’ fourth-leading tackler (52) this season. During training camp, teammates selected Henderson as one of four co-captains.

“I think it’s an incredible opportunity to showcase his ability,” UH coach Nick Rolovich said. “He’s earned that opportunity. He’s blessed with a lot of talent but he’s also worked really hard. It’s good recognition for him, his family and his teammates. They’re pretty excited for him.”
