Baku, the new robatayaki restaurant in the International Market Place, has introduced $18 weekday lunch specials that pair with drinks.
Each day offers a different pairing, from Monday’s Baku Burger with a craft beer to Friday’s fish and chips with the wine of the day. Sake, shochu and a mezcal cocktail are featured on other days. Call 800-3571.
CELEBRATE VOLUNTEERISM
Chefs Ed Kenney, Andrew Le and Mark Noguchi will cook on Saturday at a benefit holiday party for Hands In Helping Out, or HIHO.
The HIHO-HO-Holiday Party Fundraiser supports the organization that connects young people with volunteer opportunities.
The 5 to 8 p.m. event will also feature a sampling of sake and drinks from Kona Brewing Co., Barefoot Wine, Brue Bar and more. Guests can enter an ugly sweater contest and shop at a giving tree.

DINNER FOR HUGS
FC Cafe hosts a five-course wine dinner Sunday to benefit Help, Understanding & Group Support, better known as HUGS, an organization that provides services to seriously ill children and their families.
Chef Jason Kiyota’s menu: escargot-style abalone, balsamic-poached figs, catch of the day, Burgundy- braised short ribs and dessert. Each course includes wine, or BYOB.
The dinner runs from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the restaurant in the Enchanted Lake Shopping Center. Cost is $125. Call 754-7614.
CARBS FOR MARATHONERS
Runners headed for the Honolulu Marathon on Sunday can load up on carbs at The Street in the International Market Place.
The $25 option at the food hall is offered from 3:30 to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
Choose from spaghetti with a giant meatball, fettuccine Alfredo with grilled chicken breast, baked ziti or bowtie pasta with shrimp scampi. Each meal comes with garlic bread and chocolate-chip biscotti.
