UH’s Maglio named to AVCA All-Pacific North first team

Hawaii senior middle Emily Maglio today was named to the AVCA All-Pacific North first team, the only Rainbow Wahine honored.

Maglio, who led the Big West in blocking for a second straight year, was both an honorable mention all-region and all-American last season. Ranked No. 15 nationally in blocks, she is eligible for All-America honors which will be announced next week.

Utah senior hitter Adora Anae, a Kahuku graduate, was named to the All-Pacific South first team.

Pittsburgh junior setter Kamalani Akeo, a Kamehameha graduate, was named to the East Coast region first team. Her coach, Dan Fisher, was named that region’s coach of the year. He’s a former UH men’s associate coach.

Also today, Tarleton State senior setter/opposite Jordyn Keamo was named to the AVCA Division II All-America third team. Keamo is a Mililani graduate.
