The Honolulu Medical Examiner’s office identified today a 36-year-old man Salt Lake murder victim as Martin M. Nunn, of Honolulu.

Police said Nunn was in a fight with another male at about 4:10 p.m. Thursday.

An Emergency Medical Services report said Nunn was apparently assaulted near Ala Ilima Street and taken to a hospital in critical condition.

Nunn died Saturday, and a cause of death was not yet available, the Medical Examiner’s office said.

Police have opened a second-degree murder investigation. The suspect remained at large.
