Chamorro chef, poet will share culture, food at Prince Waikiki

Prize-winning poet Craig Santos Perez, an assistant professor of English literature at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, and Joseph Almoguera, chef de cuisine at the Prince Waikiki Hotel’s 100 Sails Restaurant & Bar, will discuss their Chamorro culture in the inaugural event of the new Prince Connects series in which local artists and leaders meet the public.

During Wednesday’s event, from 6 to 7 p.m., Perez will read a selection of his poetry and Almoguera will provide a sampling of Chamorro cuisine.
