Two people have been charged with attempted murder in a Wahiawa shooting last week.
Ashley Chun, 33, was charged Friday as an accomplice to second-degree attempted murder and was being held in lieu of $100,000 bail Saturday at Oahu Community Correctional Center.
Her co-defendant, Gary McCormick-Fesagaiga, 34, was charged Friday with attempted second-degree murder and two firearm violations. He remained in custody at OCCC on Saturday with a bail of $250,000.
Both were ordered to appear for a preliminary hearing Tuesday.
Police said the shooting occurred about 10:15 a.m. Monday while the victim, a 29-year-old man, was sitting in his SUV on Neal Avenue. The victim told police he knew the two suspects, who drove up to him. McCormick-Fesagaiga got out of the passenger side door and fired four to five shots at him, the man reported.
The victim reversed his vehicle and fled with McCormick-Fesagaiga continuing to fire shots at his SUV, police said. Police found three bullet holes in the front windshield and what appeared to be a bullet fragment in the sleeve of the victim’s T-shirt. He was not injured.
Police located McCormick-Fesagaiga and Chun on Wednesday morning near Waikalani Drive in Mililani.
