Police are investigating after a patrol car was in a collision with another vehicle Thursday in Kakaako.
The crash occurred shortly before 2:30 p.m. at the intersection of Ala Moana Boulevard and Punchbowl Street.
Police said a blue-and-white police car was towed from the scene. No major injuries were reported.
Woman held for hours in kidnapping
Police opened a kidnapping investigation after a woman reported she had been kidnapped and assaulted over a period of several hours in Kaimuki.
The woman, 28, told police three men and two women held her in an apartment and assaulted her between 9:15 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.
No one has been arrested.
Police said the victim and suspects are acquaintances. Further details were not available.
3 arrested in Waikiki prostitution sting
An undercover prostitution investigation netted the arrest of a 28-year-old man Tuesday in Waikiki, police said.
At 4:50 p.m. the man was arrested at 1956 Ala Moana Blvd. for investigation of two counts of promoting prostitution.
Shortly thereafter two women, ages 22 and 35, were also arrested at the same location for investigation of prostitution. The women were released after posting $500 bail.
Passersby foil alleged robbery in Waikiki
Bystanders thwarted an attempt by a 57-year-old man to rob an 18-year-old woman Wednesday in Waikiki, police said.
The man threatened the woman and attempted to take her property at about 4:40 p.m., police said.
He also allegedly used force against a 64-year-old woman trying to help the younger woman.
Bystanders detained the man until police arrived and arrested him for investigation of second-degree robbery.
He was arrested at 2005 Kalia Road.
